On my first morning, I discovered how sunlight moves across the landscape; rising from the East to emerge from behind the mountain at around 7.05 am…

Pathway to Paradise

Ketut and Pak Dian have started works on the walking path that will soon snake its way through the paddy fields, leading some hundred or so meters from the main house at The Cove to the family temple down by the riverside.

It’s taken some planning as the paddies are delicate structures but to Ketut and Pak, it’s second nature and part of village life…

In time, we hope to erect a simple traditional pergola/ bamboo bale similar to our first structure, that will stand on the river’s edge overlooking the palm-fringed creek… one step at a time…
